Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the youngest of four children. Audrey Tautou's parents who were a dentist and a school teacher helped and encouraged her passion for acting and theater. She initially hoped to be a monkey expert was replaced by a desire to study theater and drama. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. Her career began in earnest in 1999, when she started acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer when she was a child and was brought up Catholic. However she has since gotten away from this background. Her acting and modelling careers have been interspersed. Her image was the mainstay for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited a collection of photographs under the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on the spotlight and celebrities and turns the camera on those who scrutinized her when she exploded in fame and fortune as Amelie in addition to a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's very first major role, as Amelie Poulain's leading actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought her international stardom. Amelie was a worldwide box office film that received acclaim at award ceremonies around the world. It's the most-grossing French film in America. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in many films such as British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. She also starred alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
