Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 in 1970) is an American actress best known for portraying the role of detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter and Dr. Sydney Hansen on NBC's Providence drama, and the medical thriller The Resident. She received critical acclaim in her portrayal of Eleni Anderson Cooper. This was her debut television appearance on CBS' soap drama Guiding Light. The most memorable film roles she has played are 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Snitch. The Wheel of Life, written by Elisabeth Kubler Ross and adapted into a feature film by Vlas Parlapanides (the pair who created the Immortals) is thought to be in development. She is also a producer for a upcoming TV series known as Gods & Heroes.
